Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information the Pass CDL Prep mobile app (the "App") does and does not collect, and how advertising and purchases work. By using the App, you agree to this policy.

The short version

The App has no account, no sign-in, and no server of ours collecting your information. Your study progress stays on your device. The only third parties involved are Google AdMob (which shows ads in the free version) and Apple or Google (which process the optional Pro purchase and provide store-level analytics).

Information we collect

We do not collect personal information. The App does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or location, and it does not transmit your answers, scores, or study progress to us. Progress and settings are stored only in the App's local storage on your device and are removed when you delete the App.

If you email us for support, we will receive your email address and the contents of your message, and we use them only to answer you.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free version of the App shows ads provided by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google may collect and process information such as:

Google uses this data in accordance with its own policies. You can read more in Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. Where required, the App asks for your consent before personalized advertising, and on iOS it follows Apple's App Tracking Transparency rules: if you decline tracking, ads are non-personalized. You can also reset or limit your advertising identifier in your device settings at any time.

Upgrading to Pro removes ads from the App entirely.

In-app purchase (Pro)

The App offers an optional one-time purchase ("Pro") that removes advertising. Purchases are processed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play under your store account; we never see or store your payment card details. The App receives only a confirmation from the store that the purchase is active, so it can unlock Pro and restore it on your other devices signed into the same store account.

Analytics

We do not run our own analytics or tracking. The only usage statistics available to us are the aggregate, anonymized reports provided by the App Store, Google Play, and AdMob (for example, total installs and total ad impressions). These reports do not identify individual users.

Children

The App is intended for adults preparing for a commercial driver's license exam. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Data security and retention

Because the App stores your study data only on your device, you control it: deleting the App deletes the data. Emails you send us are retained only as long as needed to resolve your request.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the updated version on this page and update the effective date above. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated policy.
